  The purpose of CSR is to give attention to the social and environmental concerns and to ensure responsibility for the company's actions to make a positive impact to the society. By encouraging ethical behavior, community growth and development, CSR helps in promoting the public interest and ensures quality of life.

PMI (Project Management Institute)Trivandrum, Kerala Chapter is having  great pleasure in inviting applications for Award for Corporate Social  Responsibility to encourage initiatives in Corporate Social Responsibilityin  and around Kerala, including :

  • Public / Private Organizations

  • Government Departments

  • NGOs
  • Criteria
     
  • Organizations or departments of organizations in the private and public  sector may send in the nominations for the above award

  • CSR projects executed in the year 2010 are eligible

  • Award committee may request for the details of the nominations received  at the time of evaluation

  • The operations of the applicant must be carried out independently and  detailed project report should be available with the organization

  • The Awards Committee reserves the right to alter the Award Scheme.

  • The Awards Committee reserves the right to award more than one  participant each year in each category and also to withhold awards if the  required standards are not met.

  • The Awards Committee accepts no liability for any loss resulting from the  disclosure of information concerning an entry, though all reasonable  precautions will be taken to maintain secrecy.

  • The Awards Committee cannot undertake to return documents or  supplementary material submitted with an entry

  • Selected Award winners may be invited to make a brief presentation in the  conference and component events conducted by PMI Trivandrum, Kerala  Chapter to share their experiences.

  • The Awards Committee processes the entries for consideration by the  team of assessors, who go through initial screening and assessment  followed by final review by an eminent Jury.

  • The decision of the Awards Committee, on the recommendations of the  Panel of Judges is final and no appeal or correspondence will be  entertained.
  • Expression of Interest and Submission of applications for the CSR Award:
     
  • All communication should be captioned 'PMI Kerala Chapter CSR Award  2011-<OrganizationName>'anddirectedto onference2011@pmikerala.org.

  • Application Fees:
     
  • Organizations may send in the entries free of cost.
  • Timelines
     
     Application with sufficient details should be submitted on or before May  27th 2011.

    Non-Disclosure & Confidentiality

     
     Names of applicants, commentary and scoring information developed  during the review of applications are regarded as proprietary by the  Awards Committee and are kept confidential. Such information is available  only to those individuals directly involved in the assessment and  administrative process.
  • The Awards Committee will take all reasonable action to ensure that  applications and information therein are treated in strict confidence.  However, in no way can the awards committee be held responsible for any  loss of confidentiality to a third party. Moreover, awards committee cannot  be held liable for any damage (to goods, or persons, financial loss or  consequential) incurred through the breach of confidentiality or otherwise  by the applicants or any third party.
